HOW TO QUOTE AND BOOK A HAZMAT LOAD

When quoting a shipment and entering all the information, make sure to select the Hazardous Material Handling Then, depending on the type of Hazmat you are shipping, select one of the following on the More Accessorial button:
- Hazmat 6.1
- Radioactive Yellow 2
- 4 Explosives

Once you have selected the carrier you want to proceed with and have entered all the shipper’s and consignee’s information, fill out the Hazmat information for the specific line item(s).

On the Commodity field, enter the Proper Shipping Name indicated on the DGD or IMO

Add the Packaging Units Count and

Select the Hazardous Materials option and it will display a window to fill out the Hazmat Information:

- Hazmat number type (UN, NA, ID).
- Hazmat number.
- Hazmat Class division (from 1.1 to 9).
- Hazmat Packaging Group (I, II, III, N/A).

Click on the Save

Repeat this process with all Hazmat line items

Take notice of the following restrictions:
The carriers that transport Explosives 1.4 and 1.6 are YRC, XPO, ABF, R+L, AAA. We don’t transport 1 – 1.2 – 1.3 – 1.5.
- We don’t transport Gasses 2.3 Poisonous zone A or B. We transport only C or D (with the carriers R+L, YRC, AAA, XPO). (https://7ziphelp.com) We don’t transport 2.3 / UN2188.
- We don’t transport Nitrocellulose.
- The carriers that transport Toxics and Infectious are R+L, YRC, AAA, ABF, XPO. We don’t transport A – B.
- Only AAA Cooper transports Radioactive.

Click to upload all Hazmat Documents for the freight (DGD or IMO).

Once you have tendered and successfully booked the freight, confirm that all the Hazmat information is correct on the BOL.
